Discusses the proposed new Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) which will simplify the existing regulations to improve clarity. Many in the construction industry argue the existing regulations have not helped to improve risk management on UK construction sites. The most significant change will see the duties that the existing CDM places on the planning supervisor imposed instead on the client.
