Notes that the use of Whole Life Cycle Costing (WLCC) in the construction industry is increasing. There are problems with the lack of detailed recordings of decisions based on WLCC analysis as data capture is crucial in the optimum delivery of this process. Reports on the development of the logbook, a WLCC model decision-support software application. The software should encourage the use of WLCC models as a pro-active rather than a retrospective process.
