Explains the new fire safety law requirements which are expected to come into force in April 2006. Employers will need to review their fire risk assessments as existing fire certificates will no longer be valid or issued. Instead of fire inspectors and certificates, responsible persons as well as employers will have a duty to carry out a fire risk assessment. Lists the key changes and the responsible peson's duties.
