Wood, Gerard D.
Main contractor experiences of partnering relationships on UK construction projects - 2005 - Construction Management and Economics 23(3) March 2005, 317-325(9) .
Discusses the results of a pilot study which gathers the opinions of commercial surveyors and managers within the UK construction industry on the subject of partnering. The perceptions of the partnering relationships are generally positive, but this is not usually sustained throughout the project lifecycle. The growth of alternative procurement methods are regarded as having placed contracting parties on a more equal footing, but in today's competitive environment financial concerns remain the commercial manager's principal consideration.
