Public consultation on detailed proposals to extend the Central London congestion charge westward started on 9 May 2005 and ends on 15 July 2005. The earlier spring 2004 consultation concentrated on the principle of a western extension of the Central London congestion charging scheme. The current consultation concerns Transport for London's detailed proposals for the scheme. The new proposals include: a modified charging zone boundary; an extension of the residents' discount sector for certain areas experiencing parking and severance problems; and the ending of charging hours at 6pm instead of 6.30pm.
