Gives details of the Home Information Packs which the government plans to introduce throughout England and Wales from the beginning of 2007. Explains that there is a proposal for a trial of the scheme on a voluntary basis in England and Wales from July 2006 and once the Housing Act 2004 has been enacted it is expected there will be a significant increase in take up of voluntary Information Pack initiatives. The trial will enable the industry and the public to experience the full statutory Home Information Packs scheme in advance of its introduction throughout England and Wales on a mandatory basis.
