The latest quarterly Kingfisher/"Property Week" Index shows that the lending market is slowing down. The Index measures the amount that could be borrowed or lent in relation to investment yields and interest rates. It fell from 103% to 94% over the first quarter of 2005 and has been steadily declining from a record high of 139% in June 2003.
