Reports on two tests cases brought by neighbours of Land Securities' New Street Square, London scheme which will block significant amounts of daylight for some neighbouring properties. Mentions that it is extremely rare for rights of light cases to come to court and the amount of damages awarded could set an important precedent for developers. One of the cases involves law firm Kendall Freeman, together with its landlord Midtown, which is coming to trial in January 2006 unless there is a prior settlement.
