Examines new rules that came into force on 1 July 2005, to prevent insider share dealing. The new law is contained within the market abuse directive (Directive 2003/6/EC). The new legislation affects listed property companies, listed property owners and their advisers. Obligations includes listed companies and their advisers keeping daily insider lists of people working on price sensitive transactions and observe the new disclosure of information requirements.
