Discusses the new Civil Justice Council launch of "Experts protocol for the instruction of experts to give evidence in civil claims." The code will replace the two existing The Academy of Experts (TAE) and the Expert Witness Institute (EWI) codes. Discusses the aims and applications of the protocol, it's limitation, and an expert's duties. The protocol can be viewed at www.civiljusticecouncil.gov.uk. This protocol coincides with the launch of the joint code of practice covering Europe produced by the TAE and EWI.
