Discusses the new Waste Acceptance Criteria regulations which are the next stage in the implementation of the landfill directive (Directive 99/31/EC). The regulations came into force on the 16 July 2005, and make waste producers responsible for the classification of their waste, and to insure that it is disposed in the correct landfill site.
