Considers the variation in calculating the limitation period in which contract claims can be raised. The time limit can be six or years; these are set by statute, the main one being the Limitation Act 1980. Time limits are intended to prevent old claims being brought against people and to encourage speedy disposal but the date from which they are set can vary. Discusses in relation to law cases.
