Reports that the government is proposing to amend Building Regulations and associated technical guidance so as to enhance fire safety features in new buildings and alterations, as part of its future fire prevention and protection strategy. A completion certificate will not be issued to developers of non-domestic buildings until they have satisfied the Building Control Body that relevant fire safety information has been passed on to owners and users. Gives details of the intended changes to technical guidance.
