Argues that judges give decisions based upon the particular facts presented to them in each case. Warns that it is easy for a surveyor to mislead himself and his clients if he relies solely on the outcome of a case, without knowing the relevant facts. He runs the risk of giving his client the wrong advice by taking words out of context, without distinguishing the facts in the quoted case from those in which he is giving advice.
