In Simplex G E (Holdings) Ltd and Another v SoS for the Environment and the City and District of St. Albans District Council , CA 6 May 1988, it was held that because the Minister had made a material mistake of fact in setting out reasons for his decision to refuse development of a green belt area, the decision should be quashed.
