Examines the impact of the Work at Height Regulations 2005, which came into effect on 6 April 2005. The regulations contain a simple risk assessment procedure, and lay down detailed requirements for training, planning, implementing and supervising any work involving the risk of injury from a fall. Gives particular consideration to the use of ladders in the workplace. Points out that accidents and fatalities involving falls are most common in the construction industry.
