Most property development in the UK is carried out by small, private developers but their lot is not always happy. Property Week conducted a straw poll that allowed the developer to voice their frustrations and have compiled a list of the top 50 most common concerns. Number one in the poll is the difficulty of securing a place within an ultra-competitive market. Other pet hates include tricky relationships with planning department, lack of funding and tax issues, illegal and unethical practices from other professionals, environmental obligations, and the toil this all takes on their lifestyle.
