Construction output in 2005 fell by 1% compared to the previous year; output in the fourth quarter of 2005 was unchanged compared to the third quarter. The total volume of new work in 2005 was also 1% lower than in 2004, but rose by a similar percentage in the fourth quarter compared with the previous quarter. The number or employees (seasonally adjusted) in employment in October 2005 was 2% lower than in July, but showed an increase of 2% compared to October 2004.
