Examines the principal provisions of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 which is due to come into force later this year, and argues that fire safety managers need to obtain specialist advice on both passive and active fire protection. The use of third party accredited products, such as fire doors certificated under the BWF-Certifire Fire Door and Doorset Scheme, will assist managers in complying with the Order.
