Relates the facts of, and comments upon, "Meadow v General Medical Council" ([2006] EWHC 146 Admin, unreported) which has implications for the disciplinary procedures of professional institutions and trade bodies in the construction industry. The case confirmed that, on grounds of public policy, arbitrators, adjudicators or expert witnesses cannot be sued or prosecuted for mistakes made or committed in good faith whilst involved in the judicial process, nor can they be punished for such errors by their professional institution.
