Looks at ways to evaluate the technical competence of prospective contractors, as part of the pre-qualification procedure or following the submission of tenders. This includes obtaining evidence that that they are capable of complying with health and safety standards and that their qualifications are up to date. The intensity of each assessment depends on the level of the individual's role and responsibility as well as company's overall attitude to health and safety.
