Orders in the year to January 2006 rose by 16% compared with the twelve months to January 2005, whilst orders in the three months to January 2006 rose by 19% compared to the same period in 2005, and by 3% compared to the previous three month period. Decreases in private housing, infrastructure and public non-housing orders were offset by increases in other sectors.
