Contends that the extension of time provisions in JCT 05 are of less practical significance than some other commentators have argued. As a contractor can still choose which events to identify, it is unlikely to nominate those which reveal delay on its part, whilst changes to the role and responsibility of a contract administrator are more apparent than real.
