Reports on the launch of a Housing Forum research project, "Delivering a customer driven strategy", which will seek to discover how the house building industry can deliver a product that purchasers want, in the volumes required, and to the necessary social, environmental and quality standards. A number of provisional categories have been adopted including incentivisation of stakeholders, integration of policies and processes, simplification and standardisation of systems and requirements, empowerment of local democracy, and the role of government.
