It is anticipated that civil engineering and infrastructure work in connection with the 2012 Olympics will boost workload in this sector by 55% between 2007 and 2012. It is feared that this will lead to an increase in costs, and a shortage of project managers, particularly for refurbishment and cultural projects which are perceived as less appealing.
