Argues that the Society of Construction Law's (SCL's) delay and disruption protocol provides a framework for agreeing a method of assessing how the impact of events will be determined, which is now more important than ever following the decision in "Midland Expressway v Carillion Construction Ltd" ([2005] EWHC 2963, L132321). The protocol recommends that the impact of changes or events are measured against the updated and approved programme.
