There has been no evidence of significant movements in the price of land throughout the Midlands and land values have not been hit by the housing market slowing down. Developers appear to be paying attention to house price levels and have not been as assertive as they were 18 months to two years ago. Overall, vacant land in urban areas in the Midlands is becoming hard to find. Most sites coming to the market are brownfield and inner city high-density projects.
