Assesses the lessons for project managers to be drawn from "Great Eastern Hotel Company Ltd v John Laing Construction Ltd and another" ([2005] EWHC 181 (TCC), L129378). These include the importance of appointing staff with the requisite skills for the work that they are required to do at the outset of the project, and the need for the project manager to keep the client fully and accurately informed of the progress being made, even if this reflects poorly on the manager.
