Discusses "ERDC Group Ltd v Brunel University" ([2006] EWHC 687 TCC, L133495), where it was held that, in circumstances where no contract for works existed after a specific date, the contractor was entitled to be paid on a quantum meruit basis, but calculated by reference to tendered rates and prices prevailing before the contract expired.
