Reports on commercial property investment performance up to the end of April 2006 as assessed by the latest "IPD UK monthly index". The all-property index showed an annual rise of nearly 21% and 2% for the month. The office segment again performed best with a total return of 1.8%. Over the past three months all-property has returned 4.9% and offices 6%. Retail defied gloomy predictions recording a 1% monthly rise in total return. Property again outstripped the other main asset classes with a 1% capital growth in April. Graphs and a table.
