Mayor outlines new housing and waste targets to London Plan inquiry

The Mayor of London told a public inquiry that there is capacity for a further 30 650 new homes to be built in the capital each year, representing a 33% increase over the targets published in the London Plan. He also reported that the number, type and potential location of the new and enhanced recycling and waste processing facilities required to meet the target of London managing 85% of its waste by 2020 have now been identified.
