Looks at the challenges posed in providing access for people with disabilities to historic buildings. Building professionals must find good workable designs for level access for the 5% of disabled people who use a wheelchair, and provide appropriate solutions for the remaining 95% of people with a disability, whilst ensuring that high-quality, detailed access designs are sensitive to the needs of the building itself. Contains case study of a Grade I listed house now converted into a museum.
