MCG puts measures in place to complete its qualified workforce project

Members of the Major Contractors Group (MCG) have announced measures to complete the initiative to ensure a fully qualified workforce on their construction sites. From 1 October 2006, everyone working on a MCG site will have to have an appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card or be actively seeking one through Skills Direct, whilst with effect from 1 January 2007, everybody working on site will have to possess such a card.
