Accident incidence rates on Major Contractors Group (MCG) member company sites have fallen by more than a third over the past five years. The number of reportable injuries per 100 000 workers has gone down from 1 331 in 1999/2000 to 837 for the year ending March 2006. In addition, there were no fatalities reported on any project where a MCG company was working during the 12 months to March 2006.
