Reports on the design of four new schools in Bristol which are among the first to be commissioned under the government's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. Three of the four schools feature a triangular deep-plan classroom block with rounded apex, known as the strawberry, which allows classrooms to be easily reconfigured at a later date if required. A different configuration has been adopted for the fourth school, located in an inner city area which is not suitable for the strawberry plan.
