Looks at how the major retail chains in the UK are showing renewed interest in sustainability, which is reflected in the design of new distribution centres and warehouses. The use of such features as grey water harvesting, absorption chillers to redistribute heat and cooling, and new or recycled materials, as well as glulam roof structures, will make a major contribution to achieving zero carbon buildings.
