The green dream - 2006 - Contract Journal 434(6587) 9 August 2006, 5(1) .
Reports that in a recent survey two out of three construction clients and consultants considered it to be very important to use an environmentally-responsible contractor, with only a tiny percentage considering it unimportant. 77% of respondents now consider environmental issues when preparing a brief; an even larger percentage expect a principal contractor to put forward environmental initiatives upon which they can act. The survey identified the three key project environmental issues as the use of more sustainable products and services, climate change and carbon dioxide emissions, and recycling and waste management. Pie charts.
