UK homes should beat Scandinavian eco-standards - 2006 - DCLG News Release (2006/0095) 13 September 2006 .
The UK government has challenged developers to increase standards in order to meet the challenges of climate control and deliver substantial cuts in carbon emissions from homes. By adopting design and building techniques already being used and developed in Europe, the UK should be able to meet and surpass the current high standards in these countries within 10 years.
