Presents the full results from the August 2006 "HBF regional survey of house builders". Site visitors and net reservations were at similar levels to last August, as both balances weakened from July. Net reservations rose for the seventh time in the first eight months of 2006. New homes prices continued to rise although the rate of increase moderated slightly in August. The increase in the use of sales incentives remains steady. The industry remains confident that more homes will be sold in 2006 than in 2005. Southwest and southeast England have seen the strongest improvements in market conditions recently. Charts and tables.
