New competent person scheme

BRE Certification recently obtained a licence from DCLG to operate a Competent Person Scheme, to help practitioners comply with the 2006 revisions to Part L of the Building Regulations. Under the scheme, individuals can gain certification for their ability to use the appropriate calculation tools to calculate carbon dioxide emission rates for buildings. The scheme is currently limited to the interface for the Simplified Building Energy Model for non-domestic buildings.
