Housing Minister Yvette Cooper has announced 45 towns and cities as new growth points, with the potential to deliver up to 100 000 new homes, help first time buyers onto the property ladder and stimulate new jobs and business development. The growth areas across England will share in £40m start up funding to support infrastructure, find new sites for housing and to assess and alleviate environmental impacts.
