Principle-based regulation has received RICS member approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting, with an overwhelming 97% vote in favour of the new way forward for the chartered surveyor profession. The vote is a critical development in the creation of a new arms-length regulatory regime that will mean a sea change for RICS members in the way they are regulated by their professional body.
