Carillion topped the new work winners monthly league table for November 2006, with Laing O'Rourke in second place and Skanska in third. Balfour Beatty remained at the top of the new work winners table for the past 12 months. New orders dropped significantly in November 2006 compared with October 2006 and the total was also down on November 2005. The civils sector remained healthy, but public sector work nearly halved compared with October's figures.
