Arrowdell Ltd v Coniston (North) Hove Ltd [electronic resource] - 2006

LT LRA/72/2005 31 October 2006. This is an appeal by Arrowdell Limited, the landlord of a block of flats against the decision of the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal for the Eastern Rent Assessment Panel on a collective enfranchisement under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993, Sched 6. The appeal raised matters that were potentially of general importance, including whether the Lands Tribunal can, on an appeal from the LVT and in the absence of a valid cross-appeal by the respondent, determine a price more favourable to the respondent than that which was determined by the LVT, the admissibility or weight to be attached to previous LVT decisions and the use of the LVT's own expertise as an expert tribunal. "Held": The price was determined at £398 561.
