Considers whether revisions to the Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations 1994 will cut back on bureaucracy and make construction sites safer. Highlights various problems with the current CDM Regulations, including the excessive use of paper-based systems, and stresses that designers should only pass on appropriate information under the new regime. Also looks at the new role of CDM co-ordinator (previously known as planning supervisor) and the importance the HSE is placing on it.
