Compares the JCT'S new partnering agreement, Constructing Excellence, with two older partnering contracts, NEC X12 and PPC2000. Suggests that Constructing Excellence more user friendly, has a more collaborative approach to risk management, and is less process-driven than NEC and requires less bespoke drafting of supporting documents than PPC2000. However, in Constructing Excellence the projects teams' role is only advisory and the contract does not specify how its decisions are to be taken.
