Details an appeal decision on an extension to Lidsey Landfill near Bognor Regis which highlighted a number of issues in relation to the application of PPS10 that are likely to be of interest to Waste Planning Authorities other than West Sussex CC which was the authority directly involved. West Sussex CC faced difficulties in attempting to defend its original decision to refuse consent largely on the basis of policies in a Waste Local Plan that both predated PPS10, and was not adopted.
