Timetable announced for implementation of Companies Act [electronic resource] - London 2007

Notes that all of the Companies Act 2006 will be in place by October 2008 with many elements implemented earlier. Areas coming into effect in October 2007 include provisions in Part 9 relating to the rights of indirect investors and also most of the provisions relating to directors' general duties. Provisions for the enhanced business review and derivative claims will also come into effect at the same time. Provisions relating to directors' conflict of interests will come into effect in October 2008.
