The latest Experian Business Strategies' "Focus survey of construction activity" reveals continuing growth, with the overall activity index increasing by three points to 61 in February 2007. Strong activity in the civil engineering sector was a key factor behind the overall increase, with the civil engineering index reaching 71. The residential and non-residential indices also increased from January 2007, by six points and eight points respectively. Forecasts remain optimistic, with a gradual slowdown predicted for the coming months.
