Considers whether the recovery of building work as service charges can be claimed at a given rate even if the amounts were certified in a different year to which they were claimed. The lease permitted recovery of service charges from B, which included building work. Building costs were properly passed on to B, but only after required alterations were made to the costs. These were found to be miscalculated and at rates different to those which were in the relevant years. "Held": The appeal was allowed on the grounds that the costs could not legitimately be passed on until they were paid by S. It was found that two of the payment years were overpaid. A third was underpaid.
